We install keypads, fobs, and card readers on building and shop doors, so you decide who gets in.
Why replace keys with a reader?
A key can be copied and never returned. A fob or code can be turned off for one person without touching the door or anyone else's access. That helps when tenants move out or staff change.
What do you install?
- Small card and fob readers beside lobby and entry doors.
- Keypads for side doors, basements, and storerooms.
- Electric strikes and maglocks, depending on the door.
- Door closers, so the door actually shuts after each person.
Will this work on an old building?
Yes. Most of what we do goes on old brick and old door frames. We keep the reader small and the wiring out of sight wherever the building allows it, and we make sure the door closes and latches first.
What happens on the job?
Your call and your photo tell us which parts to bring. When we get to the door, we point out what is worn or broken and tell you what we plan to do. Then we do the work and try every lock and key with you before we pack up.
Questions we get
What if the power goes out?
That depends on the hardware. We go over how the door behaves without power before you decide, and we always keep a way out.
Can tenants keep their keys too?
Often, yes. Many buildings keep a key cylinder on the same door as a backup.
Is this only for big buildings?
No. One reader on one shop door is a normal job for us.
